As for the debate on cloaking ships, it has always been my belief that the hallucinatory terrain spell was used. However recently I picked up Issue 235 of Dragon Magazine, which has a large article on the Shipmage. Although designed for groundling campaings, I can see no reason why it can't be carried over to spelljammer. The article includes a large supplement of SEA spells, including spells such as "Shield Vessel" & "Otiluke's Screen" which creates protective barriers surrounding the ship, and "Repair Breach" which regenerates1d6+1 points of hull damage per level; to name just a few. ---------- > From: Jeremy G. <theguys@????????-??.com> > To: spelljammer@????.com > Subject: Re: [SPELLJAMMER] - cloaking ships > Date: Friday, August 01, 1997 2:19 AM > > > > > > With a single, > > >well-placed fireball from a cloaked flitter (invis spells), all of the > > >weapons on such ships would be destroyed, leaving the slow-moving > > >vessiles venerable to long-weapons attack by elvish ships. > > <end snippit> > > That's a load of invis spells ain't it.
