Hmmm... perhaps they are actually about the same size. In the CoAS it says
"Note that there is a difference between "tons" when describing the
displacement of an ocean-going ship and tonnage in Spelljammer game terms,
where a spacial ton equals 100 cubic yards of atmosphere" (pages 27+28). So
perhaps a 300 "Nautical ton" ship is equivalent to a 120 "Spacial ton"
ship...
