Yep, I have a copy of Skull and Crossbone around here somewhere. I prefer
to use the Drow ships from the War Captain's Companion - The Jade Spider,
and The Jade Spider Comandship. I play the Drow as just roaming bands of
ships, maybe one comandship and  several smaller Jade Spider. I don't think
they would be  allied to the Scro, after all Drow tend to think of
themselves as better than everyone else.

The Scro didn't strike me as being that short on magic, certainly not low -
med level mages and priests. They may not have many high level caster
however. In my campaign the Scro made deals with some local human leaders
allowing them safe passage for their ships through several spheres.
