Nope. The planet HAS an atmosphere, so the ship doesn't need to maintain it's own atmosphere. Except on voidworlds, which would strip the atmosphere away almost instantly (they make great places to hide powerful magic, because a lot of creativity is required to recover the item). And before I get jumped, there is precedent: I don't remember which module it is, but there s an Illithid named Collector-of-Thoughts who uses a magic item to temporarily create an atmosphere in a type A voidworld so the characters can land and recover an item for him without dying.
