Level 1

Detect Mutation

Range: 0
Components: V,S
Duration: 2 rounds/level
Casting Time: 1
Area of Effect: 10' path, 60' long
Saving Throw: None

   This spell allows the caster to detect whether or not mutation spells have
been cast on a creature.  The caster also has a 10% chance per level of
experience to recognize the spell(s) used.  The caster can only identify
mutation spells that are up to one spell level over his experience level
(i.e. a Level 5 wizard can identify a Level 6 mutation spell).


Nullatrophy

Range: 10 yards
Components: V,S,M
Duration: Permanent
Casting Time: 1 round
Area of Effect: 1 square foot/level
Saving Throw: None

   This spell prevents decay of all non-living, organic matter in its area of
effect, which can be seen as a blue energy field surrounding the subjects.
 This spell has no effect on living creatures.  The area of effect can be any
shape, up to 1 square foot per level of the caster.  It can be canceled with
dispel magic.
   The material component for this spell is a small blue box and a pinch of
dirt.


Level 2

Face Dance

Range: 0
Components: V
Duration: 1 turn/level
Casting Time: 1
Area of Effect: The caster
Saving Throw: None

   With this spell, the caster can change the physical appearance of his face
and body, making himself 1 foot taller or shorter, fat or thin, human or
demi-human.  No special abilities of the subject race are gained.  Although
the spell has a working duration of 1 turn per level, the spell's effects are
permanent if the new form is held beyond this time.  Revert can restore the
caster's original appearance.


Mutate Size
Reversible

Range: 5 yards/level
Components: V,S,M
Duration: Permanent
Casting Time: 1 round
Area of Effect: 1 creature
Saving Throw: Neg.

   This spell causes a living creature or object to grow in size at a rate of
10% per round to a maximum size of 10% per level of the caster.  Height,
width, and weight are increased by this amount, but no equipment carried or
worn by the recipient is effected.  Unwilling victims may save vs. spell to
avoid any effects.  With respects to the other effects of growth, this spell
is identical to the 1st Level Wizard spell, enlarge.
   The reverse application (which uses the same name) negates the growth
effect or shrinks the subject at the same rate for the opposite effect.
 Unwilling victims may save vs. spell to avoid any effects.
   The material component for this spell is a sunflower seed and a pinch of
fertilizer.
