Well, Adventures in Space, of course (the basic box). The War
Captains Companion is a good one, too, as well as the Complete
Spacefarer's Handbook. There are a few inconsistencies between the
two of them, but that's OK with me: I play Dark Sun too, and that
world have been so plagued with freelance writers that some of
what they have done is just plain ridiculous.

The Monstrous Compendia are probably a good investment as well (In
the first, you get stats for the Giant Space Hamsters, probably
one of the most ridiculed creatures in *any* AD&D world. Good
comic releif, though.), although I manage quite well with just the
first. I'll try to pick up the second at some Con this year,
though.=20

Other that that, I don't really know. I think Astromundi Cluster
is a rather good description of a sphere to play in, and it kills
off some clich=E9s.

I think one good advice is: buy whatever you find that strikes
your fancy. Since the SJ line is closed by TSR, you'll be able to
find much stuff in the bargain bins at games stores and Cons.
