Yes, they did. Though I doubt either would survive long with the
destruction of their food source (no sun = no food for people = no food
for vampires/illithid).

During which time most of them (or at least their "enforcers")

The Tales of the Eternal Wanderer also has something called
"Mosaic", which is a green goo that acts kinda like Project Genesis
from Star Trek -- destroy a world, and rebuild it.

Someone on this list created a "Boost Flow River" (or something
like that) spell, which thickens the flow to allow a ship to move faster.
Well, if we assume that kind of magic exists, then I'm sure that the IEN
can come up with a way to permenantly (or even long-term temporary)
destroy a river.

ps. I wonder if Clockwork Horrors could be "pointed in their direction"?
They're pretty good at destroying spheres. It'll at least give the good
guys time to think.
