Subject: Re: Spacial tons...
Greetings all,

To put the whole "how big is a ton" issue to rest, I have looked
that information up in the boxed set. On page 11 of the Concordance of
Arcane Space, in "Breathing in Space" section it states "Each ton
represents 100 cubic yards or space, which brings along enough air to
support on human-size crew memeber for four to eight months." On page 7,
same source, in the "Wildspace" section:

"The envelope of breathable air that attaches to any body has an
all-around depth equal to the cross-sectional diameter of that body.

Example: A sphereical beholder 5 feet across has an air envelope
15 feet in diameter. Similarly, a block of wood which is 1 foot by
2 feet by 3 feet is surrounded by a more-or-less rectangular envelope
of air which is 3 feet by 6 feet by 9 feet."

I made the assumption that a body displaces 26 times its own volume
of air so that I wouldn't have to worry about hollow objects. My New and
Improved Air Consumption rules -- coming soon to a web page near you --
will be base on this assumption.

Hope that helps everybody out there... (:
