Well, surely it would help, but would not solve the issue. Not everyone has
a Tongue spell available at all times: think about the innkeepers, or the
workers at shipyards, or the grocers of any port of call, or any other
common guy out in Wildspace who constantly meets spacefarers from different
cultures. They are not wizards nor are wealthy enough to hire a personal
translator, so how can they commune with other people (foreigners) and offer
them their most needed services: by gestures?
