	The spelljamming mage (or priest) provides the motive force and
some basic control, but the fine manuevering is in the hands of the
crew.

	A spelljamming mage *is* the helmsman.

	If the crew decided to work "against" the helmsman, then the
manueverability class would probably drop (probably to E or F).

	Most likely he can hear the captain.  Also check out the Crown of
Contact by me and the Talisman of Communication by Leroy Van Camp III for
ways for the two to communicate.  Both were posted on this list.
