	Hmmm...  Ballistas have the same range groundside as they do in
space?  If the WCC said that, then I don't like it anymore... (:  A light
ballista has a range of 6 hexes.  That's about 3000 yards (at 500 yards
per hex), which is ~1.8 miles.  Does that sound reasonable?  WCC says that
the range in hexes is how far the shot travels in one round, and I vaguely
remember from somewhere that ranges in an atmosphere are half that
distance.  I could be wrong though, as it's been a while since I read WCC.

	Most real world ranges I've heard for catapults and ballistas is
somewhere in the 200 to 400 yard range.  I can't remember the exact source,
but it was a book on mideval weapons and castles.
