You raise A LOT of good points here. I guess that depending on the
DM making glass could be very difficult. That's why I said the resale value
would be so high. A 16+ level mage could have devised a spell however to
make it easy. Ahh.. The wonders of living in a fantasy world.

I don't know. Usually it seems must powerful mages are crazy. In
novels at least powerful mages would often do things like this more or less
on a whim. :)
