Anyway, as thomas has dutifully pointed out, the wizard would have to be touching the ship to cast the spell. However, if dispel magic could be worked into a potion or something (like a temporary rod of negation (or maybe absorption?)) than it is possible that it could be fired on the other ship. maybe? jamie
