	Right.  Sorry I didn't make that clear enough.  The elves were
one of the first unified forces in the modern age.  It's like DOS.  It
sucks, and everybody hates it, but it's still around because some people
use it.  That's what elven is like.  The language itself is very complicated
and hard to learn (I have it cost 2 prof slots instead of one), that's why
over time it's been adapted.  Different races (and elven subtypes) speak it
differently, but it's almost the same language.  I'm sorry if that doesn't
make sense, but I'm no linguist, and I may have some basic concepts
completely wrong... (:

	Their empire existed *way* before the modern age.  They didn't
"uplift" us into space.

	Hope that makes more sense.
