	I havn't thought much about "groundlings", but I have a theory
about "spacer" language.  Summed up, they speak a pidgin elven.  My
reasoning is that the elves are about the only race that goes out and
tries to keep in touch with it's colonies.  Elven is probably one of the
only languages that's "universal".  Not all groundling elves realize this
though.

	Since elven is a difficult language (at least in my games), it
has been "simplified" and "homogenized" with several others.  In fact,
anybody that knows any of the elven offshoot languages can understand
about 60% - 80% of this "space common".

	This would probably take effect whether the elves were liked or
not.  Like Microsoft Windows, not everybody speaks it natively, but they
probably know it out of necassity.
