I created the planet, complete with something resembling a culture and
governments, following the beholder pattern of such, and placed it. The
players found it, explored for a bit, and rean like hell when they found out
what the dominant race was.

No one's gone back, so I haven't had much chance to do anything with it
since.

Although, as I remember, they did managed to save an Examiner, which became
their cargomaster until job transfers broke that group up and spread us along
the western seaboard.
