Re: Create Helms

	Everybody keeps assuming that the arcane are after profit.  There's
nothing wrong with that of course... (:  Some people, like Leroy, have
other concepts of why they make helms (to collect lifeforce).  But what
if the arcane aren't the one's "in control"?  What if they *don't* know
how to make helms?  One of my earlier ideas was that the arcane are
actually "middlemen" or "frontmen" for somebody else.  This other
individual/group are the ones making helms.  They give them to the arcane
to sell for a cut of the profit.  At least that's what the arcane think... (:
In reality, the group/individual want's to control known space, and has
a way to *shut off* any (all) helms he/she/it wants!  By making everybody
dependant on their technology, this group gains power.

	This theory explains why the arcane are so quiet and secretive
(because they don't want to be found out), but makes spelljamming a
fairly recent developement (severeal thousand years).  This doesn't get
rid of the Juna or Precursors or the First Ones, because they used a
different form of "spelljamming".
