	NPC helmsmen?  (:  I don't think I've ever encountered that for
the PC party (when I had one :( ).  But yes, it's good for that too... (:

	I have no idea.  I don't use that value in my AD&D campaigns.
Probably not too much, because the game balance effect is minor.  It's
mostly there for look and feel... :)
