The Fear Helm

After watching Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, and a discussion
about The Tick with some friends thereafter, I was hit by the
idea of a Fear Helm for Spelljammer.  It runs on fear ... the
more afraid you are, the faster you can go.  Gully dwarves
are excellent helmsman, and kenders are abysmal ones.  Magical
spells can enhance the fear of the helmsman.

Perhaps this is one of the sorts of things that would be
developed in a Ravenloft/Spelljammer campaign?
