flame wars

I've just read today's mail, and find myself disappointed. Two or three
people have made public posts that were obviously addressed to one
individual, but meant to show be seen by the whole list to show off.

The first one not only made the problem worse, but, as was pointed out,
implied he was thoughtless, and, in an effort to show everyone he wasn't a
"hypocrit" proved to us all that he was.

The other wanted to show how mature he was being, and made the situation
worse. And included a few uncalled for smartassed comments in the bargain.

Do you really blame the other concerned person for responding how he has? You
seem to be doing your best to prove him right. I think that would be reason
enough to drop it.

As the mderator asked to days ago. By my count, including myself, 7 people
have ignored him and commented to some degree or another.

Hopefully all or none will be removed, as Mr. Magann seems to think will
happen.

Frankly, if he is dropped, I would expect Mr Westermeyer, and the gentleman
who went on at length on the original topic to be dropped as well. They are
at least as guilty of violating the moderator's request as Mr Magann, if not
more so.
