No, but the elemental planes are connected to the Prime thru the etherial,
and, with no contact to the etherial, they can't be reached, This from
Planescape. The fact that the word etherial is used, and *not* the word
noncorporeal, and that an elemental body is being recieved seems to be a
clear indicator.

Fact is, the book *does* say etherial, and an elemental body is being
fetched, so I see no reason to assume something else was meant, and that it
was just a bad (or too casual) choice of words.
