Yes, but even that plant doesn't seem to generate air until the last stages
of it's life. The fact that the elves can manage to make a Gadabout produce
breatheable air is a comment on their agricultural and magical skills more
than the plants abilities.

Yes, the elven ships are plants. Grown and shaped from the seeds of a plant
that only gives off air at a particular stage of life, and from a particular
organ. After the elves are done, niether the live-stage, nor smelting pods
seem to develop, and so, the ships don't seem to have the ability to refresh
their envelopes or generate air.
