	This sounds like my idea for a pilot "class" in GURPS.  They'd have
magery and training in spelljamming (pilot (spelljammer), and a new
advantage possibly called "Helm Alignment  2-4 pts / level), but not a lot
of spells, probably due to IQ.  In my campaign, magery is somewhat common,
but most people still can't cast spells due to IQ, lack of training, no
will to do it, etc.

	I also really like your idea about increasing the size of the
Armada.  In my redesign, armadas are going to be *much* bigger.  I was
even thinking of making them be along the lines of 500 tons.  In the
Spelljammer comicbook, the armadas were shown like cities.  They had
trees and gardens for air and additional food.  Kinda cool.  When
Vehicles 2e comes out, the converting fun will really begin... (:
