Couple of Questions

I've come across an opportunity to pick up some SpellJammer stuff at a
really good price.  The problem is that I don't know anything about the
setting, the feel, and that type of thing.

Could someone fill me in?  I know it's got space travelling ships, and a
new face for certain races, and that kind of thing.  What's the atmosphere?
Ravenloft is Gothic, the FR are high fantasy, etc.  Where does SpellJammer
fit in?
