I think you mean Practical Planetology. The book with planets in it.
Practical Palentology would be about Dinosaurs.

Check out "The Astromundi Cluster" It's a Boxed set about a particular
Crystal Sphere, that just happens to contain the original home world of the
Illithids.

There may be something in there.
