I've fought out several battlesystem scenarios with spelljammers and found
they are do not unduly imbalance the game, in fact, they haven't survived
a game yet, as the oppossing forces consider them a huge threat and turn
all their efforts to eliminating them. Even a couple midlevel mages can
stop one. Now, thats assume the crew is not all beholders or some such,
then you might have a problem...
Oh yeah, I rule 1 SR equals a move of 12 in the atmosphere instead of 24,
slows'em down a bit and helps me avoid explaining why the vessels don't
fall apart in the atmosphere at high speeds.

us. What difference does it make by what pains each seeks the truth? We
can not attain to so great a secret by one road..."

Victory from the Senate House" (392 AD)
