Let's see if I can recall correctly . . .

A typical human sucks up approximately 1 cubic foot of
air per minute, and uses about 75% of the oxygen in
the air inhaled (thus, air in =approx 20% oxygen, air
out =approx 5% oxygen).

This is from my dim memories of a scuba class that I
took some time ago, so don't bet your life on it.
