Again, why 40 years. Magic Mirror is a 4th level spell, Teleport 5th. If I
had access to 4th and 5th level spells, *I'd* use the Magic Mirror to find a
likely lokking spot to teleport to. Then  start teleporting the party over
and setting up a base to explore from. It might take a few weeks to zero in
on a spot, but it could be done while adventuring and preparing for the trip.
You'd certainly have to worry about arrival much sooner than you think.

And they'll be able to return to the campaign world eith even more ease.

Certain magic items can make this happen even sooner (level wise).

Call your local scuba shop. It's part of their business to know how much air
is in a tank and how long it lasts. If they can't give you precise answers
for large volumes, they can tell you how long to expect a given volume of air
(what ever a tank holds) to last, and you can do the math from there. They
might even give a more precise answer than many Doctors, as they deal with it
more.
