Ah, yes, the quarren. Since you were referring to the gamorreans, I
thought you were also referring to the twi'lek.

The quarren aren't really as interesting as the illithid -- go with the
illithid. If you want some Star Wars races to use, here's a few:

Ewoks
I believe this has been done on its own before
Ithorians
There's a bunch of Star Wars toys of these guys, lovingly called
hammerheads. They're a peaceful, friendly, unassuming race of
spacefarers who have completely left their homeworld, and preserve
its natural setting now from the sky. They are extreme ecologists,
and might make good druids who travel from sphere to sphere,
taking worlds and preserving them from their "herd ships". Of all
the SW races, these have the most spelljamming potential.
Twi'Lek
These graceful humanoids have a pair of tentacles on their heads,
with which they can secretly communicate with other twi'lek, via
careful arrangement and subtle movements. Consider it a sort of
powerful sign language, capable of extremely subtle concepts and
complex expression. They're cowards as a matter of survival, and
prefer to hide in the shadows when a "heatstorm" (violence) hits.
