I think it could be either way. To make it more dangerous, I like the
idea about having to shoot around the sun. But definitly need a minimum
SR speed. 12 sounds OK, but in high level campaigns that may be a
little too low. It would only take a mage of 24th level and a major
helm. Maybe you could have both. lets say a SR of 16 (32 lvl mage) or
an SR of 12 but by slingshoting around a larger gravitational body
you get the increase of SR needed to make the jump.
