what kind of ship should I buy

Fellow Jammers,

I'm tired of riding around in someone else's brig. I have enough gold and
time to outfit my own rig. I would like suggestions in the following areas:

1.type of ship

2.extras

3.type of crew

I prefer speed over tonnage...I'm not running cargo anywhere...I want to
have enough speed to get away, enough firepower to fight if I want to
fight..up to say 2-1 or 3-1 odds and enough of a crew to repel boarders..all
suggestions accepted...money not limitless...but not a problem either...
