Today's nitpick

I have another silly question for you folks.

Does anyone have information on those three characters who are on the cover
of the original boxed set?!?  I've heard that TSR actually set up stats for
them, and that said stats appeared in the Collector's Cards.

I think they are part of the "singing void" party, whoever they are.

I'm assuming that the illithid is Estress, aka ThoughtTaker, but what about
the other two?
