Subject: Re: A battle won for T$R
This was bounced into my account becasue the owner of this www page isn't on
the spelljammer list.

It would appear that our "old friends" in Lake Geneva are up to their antics
again. It would appear that they are now going after the World Wide Web...
just like Neut Gingrich and friends. As stated in his message, Morpheus
incourages you to *plunder* his www site and gather all the net.books you
want or need. It may not last much longer. Also, if you want to mirror his
stuff, do it. If more and more people make this stuff available, TSR may
realize that they have bitten off more than they can chew.

Or, to paraphrase one of the great science fiction heroins:

"The tighter you try to grip, the more that will
          slip through your fingers."

Hello....

On the net I am known as morpheus and I am the keeper of the Netbooks
of AD&D page. T$R's lawyers have harrased my internet providers, and for
reasons I cannot say at the moment, it looks like I might have to take
my web page down... this will mean many files might become lost again after
I've spent months painfully searching the net for these files so they might
be accesible by you. However do not get mad at teleport, they are doing
everything they can for me... If I do have to take my page down it will
be voluntary and an action I do to save my internet providers from having
to fight a battle the cowards of T$R should have taken directly to me.

I'm calling for all gamers to loot my page to the fullest while its still
up. Distribute the files, write your own web pages. If enough of you
do so, maybe us gamers can win this thing, and strike a blow for net
freedom as a whole. Also if someone is willing to take over my page,
please contact me. I want all of it to be available. Your fellow gamers,
perhaps even you wrote these netbooks... do not let all your hard work
goto waste... or MPGN.

For those of you that don't know my web page URL is:
http://www.teleport.com/~morpheus/tsr.shtml

and the files are available via ftp at:
ftp.teleport.com/pub/users/morpheus/ADnD/

In addition to gamers this mail is going out to as many people as I can
possibly think of who are freedom of speech on the net. If you can forward
this to a place it hasn't been go for it. I'm just a little guy fighting a
big company, and your support is appreciated. As for the people at news
orginizations I hope you'll consider my plight for a story, I want the whole
world to know what TSR is doing and what kind of precedent it sets for the
internet.

- Morpheus
