Uhm, sorry, I wasn't clear enough. The pull is towards the center of
the plane. I wish ascii represented 3 dimensions better ;) . . .

   The reason this is so is because the carriage section makes the Wide
dimension, and the balloon has the Long dimension. Seen from "above", the
ship will look like my original diagram (which is what I had intended to
portray).
