		Hypothetically, they can.  It would be very rare to
have a battle in deep Wildspace, though.  Most SJ battles that I know
of take place right outside a planet's atmosphere.

		Battles definitely cannot take place at SJ speeds.

		They aren't.  At full SJ speed, a ship can basically
go in a straight line, with maybe a few degrees shift.  Hey, even at
non-SJ speeds the entire crew is required to help manuver with any
dexterity.

	Big ol' problem number one is that this tactic would take
weeks if not months, while the pirates' air supply was also draining.
Also, if the englobed ship could force the blockade just slightly out
of shape, it could probably force its way past one of the
lightly-crewed (and therefore lightly armed) pirates and make for
deep space.
	Also, if the target ship's air did go foul, the pirates would
hardly want to board it, or even mingle air envelopes.
