Of Illithids and Mutant Humans All those planetoids...you could have a blast with regular AD&D adventures just on these small worlds until the characters were ready or willing to get into wildspace. The advantage this setting has over others is that the characters would deal with spelljamming on a daily basis due to trade goods and the Antillan Empire plus all of the other factions. Spoiler Below***************** I thought I read in the Astromundi Cluster that the "mutant humans" were actually the illithids and that the cluster is what is left of the illithid home world. The location of the illithid home world has been a great mystery. I thought it would be really cool if their home world was right under our noses (Astromundi has direct connections to Grey, Krynn, and Realm space in the flow). What secrets we could (and the Mind Flayers) learn from artifacts found deep in some of the remnants of this world. There is some talk of these artifacts in the boxed set. Hmm...
