SJ vs PS

Jammers Wake up!
   I no very little about Planescape, actually I know almost nothing!
However that is not the problem here...  I have a hard-headed player who has
decided that Planescape is more adnd like than SJ is, I have obviously
defenede SJ, but I cannot speak too much as I know not Planescape.  However
his point of view is interesting, does anyone out there believe that SJ is
somewhat out of place in adnd?  -I find it different in a way, but not out
of place...
