I believe the term "Spelljammer" was derived from the nautical term
"windjammer." I am unsure what exactly this term defines -- whether it
is a type of ship or part of a ship. I was unable to locate its
definition in my limited encyclopedia -- that's what you get when you
buy such things in the supermarket. Perhaps someone else out there has
the actuall definition, but I'm sure I've heard the word somewhere
outside of spelljammer. --
