It's all possible through magic, of course. Perhaps some of them were built by the same creatures that built the "Space Leviathan" ship. And, of course (here I go...), the gravity for such a hollow would be "flat" and two directional, allowing existance on both sides of the sphere (but possibly the outer side has had a catastrophy or is otherwise inhabitable. I would say that this two-sided gravity exists because the hollow sphere is merely an unusual form of a flat planet (otherwise the interior objects would fall inward towards the center), or the sphere is spinning slightly, providing gravity (like the "spindle" planet in Terraspace). A spinning sphere would be a good way to introduce extra-strong humanoids into your campaign ... if the sphere spins fast, a greater than Earth World Standard gravity arises, and after a few generations of living on such a planet, creatures would develop incredible strength (which, in an EWS gravity situation would be _very_ powerful). Anyway, Rich, please post your Ringworld data ... I'd like to see it. -- Sean K Reynolds a.k.a.
