Why not have the center of the planet be an ocean, with a
diamond (or other type of gem) core? That would take care of both
pressure, and discouraging adventurers from picking them up.

Think of all the smoke powder they could buy? Just a tip for
conspiracy-minded DMs.
Good point. Perhaps the Arcane would declare Uranus a base of
theirs, and off limits, or just envelope it in an anti-spelljamming/
anti-magic field.

The system should include all 9 planets... possibly even a tenth,
"dark" planet with an orbit perpendicular to the solar system. The
groundlings in the sphere might not know of any planets beyond Saturn,
but spacefarers would.
